I’m using a light plane to illuminate some objects. the light plane projects a light with a bluish dominant.
around these illuminated objects there are other objects that I would prefer not to be irradiated by this bluish light plane…
how can I do it?
thanks
The default light plane is I think pure white so it should be neutral. If it looks bluish you might have some blue (default blue material) limbo used or it could be your monitor displaying neutral greys not that neutral. At least, can’t think it being caused by the light if that has a greyscale value.

to add to Oscar’s comment, if you have played with the white balance in the image tab this may make your whites in the scene appear more blue. I think what Oscar has said is more likely.

I think they are asking to exclude objects from being iluminated by the blue-ish light, and as of right now there are no “Exclude from light” controls in Keyshot. Its been a long wished for feature, but for now you will have to sort out a workaround, of which there are a couple, but we would need to see the scene to make suggestions.

I really would love a switch like that. Could be material based like ‘exclude from light’ combined with a ‘don’t cast shadow’
While a ‘ray mask’ node could do things like that I think it’s easier to just make in some checkbox somewhere, think the RayMask node is not so clear to a lot of users.

Hi Oscar,
sorry for my poor english: the bluish dominant is an intentional effect.
what I would like is to be able to shield some areas of the image from the effects of this slight blue light (a bit like it’s done in Photoshop)
…but I understood that it’s not possible in keyshot
;D
Think it’s more my reading skills
You might be able to use for example a spotlight with warmer light to get rid of the bluish tone in a certain area. Think that’s all more complex than starting with a neutral image and use for example a selective colour adjustment layer in Photoshop to give the neutrals a bluish tone and paint some black in the same adjustment layer where you don’t want the bluish tone.
